Designed For non-EU remote professionals earning income outside Spain
Spain - Digital Nomad Visa
The Spain Digital Nomad Visa is designed for remote workers, freelancers, and self-employed professionals who earn income from non-Spanish sources and wish to live legally in Spain. It allows location-independent professionals to work for international employers or clients while enjoying Spain’s high quality of life and strong infrastructure. The visa is granted initially for one year and can be renewed for up to five years, offering a pathway to permanent residency and, after ten years, Spanish citizenship. Eligible applicants may also benefit from Spain’s special expat tax regime under the Startup Law, which can provide a reduced flat tax rate on qualifying income for a limited period, subject to meeting specific tax criteria.
